The FISITA World Automotive Summit is a unique annual meeting of automotive leaders. It brings the world's top technical executives together with scientists, public policy-makers and influential NGOs to work on an issue of central importance to the automobile and society. For 2011 our chosen topic is the future of personal mobility.
By 2015 we will have 26 megacities of more than 10 million inhabitants. By 2030, 3 out of 5 people will live in cities. This will have the most influence on the future development of the automobile. The third FISITA World Automotive Summit will consider what the future holds for personal mobility in an increasingly urban, resource-constrained world and what this means, in turn, for automotive technology.
