For the past 29 years, the Dickens Christmas Show & Festivals has successfully provided holiday shoppers with a dream come true. The show features over 350-period costumed vendors hawking their wares - showcasing everything from fine arts and crafts, holiday decor, clothing, jewelry, gourmet foods, imported items and more. Truly offering something for everyone!
Eager shoppers stroll through a marketplace encased by three-dimensional row houses, churches and mercantile shops, along streets elaborately bedecked with period Christmas decor. Further enhancing this excursion into Victorian Christmas Past, young and old alike enjoy Punch and Judy shows, strolling minstrels, and don't miss the Victorian street urchins, adding to the mirth and merriment. Dominating the show's entire back wall is a massive, 210-foot panorama of snow-laden London (circa 1880), as an elegant 24-foot Victorian Christmas Tree provides a spectacular centerpiece for this unique marketplace. All this and more, combined to create a magical and unique holiday wonderland, perfect for attracting shoppers eager to begin their Holiday shopping.
In keeping with the true spirit of Dickens, the show offers numerous charities and non-profit organizations an opportunity to participate. Their unique fundraising programs offer samplings of holiday foods from aroundthe world, an elaborate display of holiday trees, wreaths, and centerpieces (for auction to the highest bidder). Hear those sleigh bells jingle-ing? Yes, it's jolly old Saint Nick, himself. All proceeds generated by these programs go directly to the sponsoring charities. These projects add to the show's appeal as well as entice many attendees to return during the 4-day event, thus offering an ever increasing flow of shoppers.
